And at the end of the BDB tour, I'm going to have my first two west coast headline shows - Cafe do Nord in SF and Tangiers in LA.

Hey there - I'm just getting my feet back on the ground after the Carnegie Hall show. I'm also just getting my body-clock back to UK time - I shouldn't have bothered; I'm heading back stateside for a big ol' tour throughout March
Check out the dates on the live page.

Just packing and trying to decide what instruments to take with me to New York next week; I have three shows:
Feb 1st
8pm Other Music instore
9:30pm Union Hall (with Luke Temple + Sparrow House)
I'm on in the middle, so get there early.
Feb 2nd
Carnegie Hall
The line up and concept for the Carnegie hall show is very close to the 0 Degrees of Separation shows, but was born completely independantly. Some months ago, I received an email out of the blue from David Byrne asking if I'd like to play an event he was curating at Carnegie Hall; not the sort of thing that happens, day-to-day. Needless to say, I said yes please.
The acts appearing, in no particular order:
Vashti Bunyan, Vetiver, Cibelle, Devendra Banhart, CocoRosie and myself. Quite a bill to be involved in. We don't have much time to make it happen, but we hope to collaborate on a number of tracks, in a number of combinations.
It's an absolute pleasure to have been invited and I am over the moon to be part of another exceptional evening.

I should have told you about this a while ago - I can barely contain my excitement.
Along with Emma and Vince from the band, I'm going into a practice studio on Sunday for five days. Also heading to the same room in Hackney are elements from Vetiver, Vashti Bunyan & band and Juana Molina. We are going to work out versions of our songs to share between us. After the rehearsals, we're taking what we've done around the UK under the title '0 degrees of separation'. Loads of information about it can be found
here, at the CMN website. I'll put the dates on the live page so you can check them straight away. We're doing eight shows. I'm really looking forward to seeing what happens - It's going to be a fantastic show... now to work out who's playing what, when and how we're going to fit eleven of us on stage at once.

Hey folks.
Bit of a misunderstanding - If you want to partake of Assembly 10 in East Renfrewshire on Sunday 3rd, it's not in Clarkston Community Library, but BARRHEAD Community Library. They're both East Renfrewshire and are basically in the very same spot when looked at on a cosmic level... ok, ok I made a mistake. But I'm glad because it's always good to spread the love.

Hello there
I'm playing a full band headline tour around Germany and the Netherlands in the first half of December. I'm looking forward to this very much - returning to some exciting places, visiting others for the first time. Supporting for the whole tour is the incredible Tom Brosseau. I look forward to seeing you there.

Hello
I'm supporting Nerina Pallot on the 27th and 28th of November, in Portsmouth (wedgewood rooms) and London (shepherds bush empire) respectively. Get there early to catch me! I'll be around.

Hey there. Just a quick note to tell you about a special show I've been invited to do. It's in a library on the edge of Glasgow: Clarkston Community Library. It's limited to 70 tickets and I'm going to be playing on my own. I'm performing on Saturday December the second. On the Sunday (third), I shall be running assembly10 - everyone welcome to join me in making music - just bring an object that makes a noise without electricity and let's see what happens.
I love libraries. I spent a lot of time in my local library when I was younger and am proud to be part of a season promoting the idea of the local library. The existence of public libraries is one of my favourite achievements of human kind.

Lovely. See you there.

I'm playing a whole bunch of shows over the next couple of months - Supporting Vetiver in Europe(Switzerland, Italy and Germany) and Juana Molina in North America (coast to coast, US and Canada).
Check the live page to see where we are touring. Thank you all so much for your requests to play and your continuing support and apologies to those of you who have mailed asking me to visit, only to have me miss your town. I hope that you can reach a show nearby.

Hey all. I've just got back from New York - thanks to everyone who came to Joe's Pub (and soundfix) - I had a fantastic time and was really pleased with the show. As well as playing the shows, I was getting together with Domino US to put the final touches to the US release of Love and other planets, which is scheduled for September 26th. Sorry for the delay, I hope that you enjoy it (at domestic prices). I'm going to be visiting North America again soon for some support shows. More on that soon.
