At last you can check out these for tracks that the band and I recorded for xfm. They were all performed live and in one or two takes. We played:
Spirals
Love and other planets
Crashlander
You and moon
I like the versions here and would love to know what you think. Here they are:

In anticipation of the US release of Love and other planets in September, I am playing a special solo show at
Joe's Pub in New York. Details on the live page. I'm very much looking forward to coming to New York and can't wait to play. See you there!

After playing on stage at the Big Chill the band and I shambled across the site to the Big Chill Radio area. I was invited to play solo, but thought it's be much more fun if the whole band played. On arrival, I realised why they wanted only one person - the live room was smaller than a portaloo and was mostly filled with equipment. Despite it being the hottest day in memory, all six of us crammed into the telephone box of a room and started wilting even before we realised that the fan had to be turned off and the tiny window closed in order to reduce the noise spill.
It was hotter than the sun - we were soaking in sweat and we'd never played together before like this - with just a guitar, a glockenspiel, thumb piano and voices (and a whole bunch of clapping). We laughed a lot and had a nice time. You can hear the results between 0100 and 0300 on the
One World programme on Radio 1 on Monday night (Tuesday morning for all pedants out there). We played versions of Crashlander, Launch yourself and Let it burn. I've no idea how they turned out, but that was the point. I wonder if it'll translate from sun-drenched field to middle-of-the-night radio? One way to find out.

Hey there. A childhood dream come true... Watch it with envy.
You can view the incredible Launch yourself video made by Rob Chandler and Atticus Finch right here:

I had great fun filming this and must say a huge thanks to all the effort put in by everyone involved.
(I particularly love the way the lights always flash in time).
Videos for These are your friends and Ringing in my ear are also viewable at the Domino website:

Launch yourself -the first single from Love and other planets is out now. It's out in a couple of formats - CD single and two limited edition 7".
With this release, I decided I wanted to try something different - I love doing versions of other people's tracks, so I invited three of my favourite hot alternative producers to have a stab at remixing Launch yourself - Four tet, Hot Chip and Thomas Eriksen. The mixes take the track in wildly different directions. I was overjoyed when I heard them and sure you will be too.
All formats feature beautiful new artwork by our favourite
Lynn Hatzius. The two 7" fit together to form a wonderful whole.
You can find out more and get them at
www.dominorecordco.com. There are reviews and listen-to's all over the wwweb. Let me know what you think.

Hey All, I've finally got 'round to typing up all the lyrics to Love and other planets and putting them online. You can find them in the Records section. Click 'Go!' under The record you are interested in and then simply click on the word 'lyrics' next to the song you would like to know the words for. I'm afraid that Tabs are a long way down the line, but if enough of you want me stick up basic chords or tunings, I'm sure I could sort them out eventually, one of these days.

Yep, sorry - it was very last minute. The good news is that you can catch it on archive at the moment at www.bbc.co.uk/6music. Search for Tom Robinson, Thursday show and skip into just over an hour in, I think. I play solo versions of Spirals and Love and other planets. I also massacre the beautiful 'God only knows' by the Beach Boys. They asked me to bring a track that I was liking at the moment - I brought 'Council Flat' by Sefa Steer, but they didn't want swearing before the watershed. So I decided to do a cover - but I'm not the best ukelele player yet, and I had only just started to learn it, and I lost the piece of paper with the chords half way through... excuses, excuses. I'll put up a decent version one of these days...
Getting ready for Southampton and Newcastle. See you there.

Hey all - I've been invited to be Artist in Residence on John Kennedy's xposure programme on xfm. The band and I recorded four live versions of tracks for your listening pleasure, to be played through the week, I believe. We played Love and other planets, You and moon, Spirals and Crashlander. Tune into 104.9 fm or go to www.xfm.co.uk to listen at 10pm GMT. I think that xposure archives it's sessions, so you should be able to catch the tracks on the website at some point after this week.

Hey there. I'm afraid that there will be no performance on Thursday at the Astoria supporting Animal Collective. Huge apologies to all. I'm gutted, as I'm sure you know how much I was looking forward to the show. A full explanation can be found in the Diary section.
Again, many apologies for any inconvenience caused. I hope never to be in this position again.

What can I say? The third Homefires exceeded all expectations. Superb performances and a wonderful turn out, you all did me proud – so many performers said how amazed they were by the warmth of the audience and the atmosphere. I had a great time. So much good stuff. Anyone have any pictures? Stories? Post a link so that we can reminisce (or be horribly jealous, all you losers that missed it).
